The McCarthy Project ProjectU Summer Beach Training Camp with Volleyball Manitoba will be held July 5th and 6th at Lord Fletchers on Lake Minnetonka. The event in open to all athletes who are committed to understanding themselves and moving ahead as a player and a person. Register early as only 10 spaces are available. This ProjectU Summer Beach Training Camp is delivered in partnership with Volleyball Manitoba. Manitoba’s top players are nationally ranked and preparing for the 2017 Canada Summer Games. The head coach of Team Manitoba is a 1996 indoor volleyball Olympian who has coached and played beach volleyball at the professional level around the world. This is an opportunity for both organizations to play and learn from each other. The on court sessions over the 2 day period will cover innovative, individualized, creative on-court skill work.

ProjectU Summer Beach Training Camp Highlights:
- Game speed drills and cauldron games
- On court skill development and video feedback
- Off court training for the purpose of developing on court performance
- Experiential Leadership and communication drills
- Ways to develop a “love of the game, not just be a robot that does everything perfect.”
About Volleyball Manitoba:
Volleyball Manitoba is the governing body for the sport of volleyball in the province of Manitoba. Incorporated in 1977, Volleyball Manitoba services the needs of its members, which include athletes (high performance, developmental and recreational), coaches, officials, and anyone who loves the sport of volleyball.
About Stephen McCarthy of TMP Beach:
Stephen has prepared over 10,000 youth, high school, college athletes for over a span of 15 years. He has developed over 100 NCAA athletes within the sports of basketball, volleyball, soccer, and hockey. The McCarthy Project Beach Volleyball club started in 2014 and host of AVPNext Minnesota. Currently, Stephen is a USAV certified official, a USAV Beach Impact and BCAP I certified volleyball coach, a member of AVCA and JVA, a coach within the USAV High Performance Beach Program, as well as, a certified personal trainer. He has trained players who have played the following professional sports: NBA and NHL.
On Court Sessions on Wednesday and Thursday from 2pm – 5pm. Registration opens on April 20th.
